In light of the continued outbreak of the Novel Corona Virus COVID-19, Following Scottish Government guidance, we have decided in the interest of public health and safety to further postpone the event. the RSPBA Adult World Solo Drumming Championships has also recently been postponed so therefore it is not a requirement to hold an adult qualifying heat for 2020.
The event will now be scheduled to take place in April 2021
All entry fees received so far will be refunded in full and cheques returned or destroyed.
We hope that you understand the reason behind this decision and that at this time the health and safety of the competitors, judges, spectators and support staff is extremely important.

Kingdom Thistle 2019 was again another successful event. We greatly appreciate the support from the Piping & Drumming community. April is a busy time of the year and we appreciate the time and effort from everyone who has traveled locally as well as far and wide to compete.
We are very thankful to host the World Solo Drumming Adult Qualification heat in partnership with RSPBA Dundee, Perth & Angus Branch. All 4 qualifiers can be found on the summary.

Please note, Kingdom Thistle in conjunction with RSPBA Dundee, Perth & Angus Branch will host the first RSPBA Adult World Solo Drumming Semi Final Qualifying Heat on the qualification circuit as well as our normal Open Solo Drumming Championship. YOU CAN PLAY IN BOTH THESE EVENTS.
RSPBA WSDC Qualifying Heat 2019 will be held as a separate competition, competitors will be required to submit 2 March, Strathspey & Reel sets, Draw to determine which set you will play will be done in the room by the RSPBA Director in attendance.

Today was the 10th Year for Kingdom Thistle Solos. Thank you to all of our competitors who have continued to travel far and wide as well as local players who have supported our event over the years.
