Please note, Kingdom Thistle in conjunction with RSPBA Dundee, Perth & Angus Branch will host the first RSPBA Adult World Solo Drumming Semi Final Qualifying Heat on the qualification circuit as well as our normal Open Solo Drumming Championship. YOU CAN PLAY IN BOTH THESE EVENTS.
RSPBA WSDC Qualifying Heat 2019 will be held as a separate competition, competitors will be required to submit 2 March, Strathspey & Reel sets, Draw to determine which set you will play will be done in the room by the RSPBA Director in attendance.

Today was the 10th Year for Kingdom Thistle Solos. Thank you to all of our competitors who have continued to travel far and wide as well as local players who have supported our event over the years.
Thank you to our sponsors, without them it wouldn’t be possible to present our prize winners with a vast array of fantastic piping and drumming prizes.

Special congratualtions to Kenzie Philliban from Methil and District Pipe Band who was the winner in the 13 & Under Piping Event today, He won a fantastic prize today by securing a set of Classic 2 Bagpipes from Wallace Bagpipes. Thank you, Graig Munro.
Kingdom Thistle in conjunction with the RSPBA , Hosted the first Adult WSDC Qualifier of 2018 with 4 competitors gaining automatic entry to the Semi Final stages of the World Solo Drumming Championship to be help in Glasgow in October sponsored also by Andante Drums.

Please note, there is NO OPEN SOLO PIPING competition for 2018. This competition will return in 2019 when we return to our usual date in April.
Please note, There will be a WSDC Qualification Heat held in conjunction with RSPBA Dundee Perth & Angus Branch. Each competitor to submit 2 MSRs to be drawn on the day. There will be 4 Qualification places allocated to the first 4 competitors who have not already qualified.

Saturday 8th April 2017, Kingdom Thistle Solo Piping, Drumming & Tenor Drumming Championships took place.
Another Successful event held today with the standard of piping, drumming and tenor drumming played at a very high level. Congratulations to all the prize winners and thank you very much to all the competitors, parents & supporters who made the effort to travel to Lochgelly and have continued to support this event.
Kingdom Thistle is very much indebted to our event sponsors for their continued support. It very much appreciated. All the prize winners gaining a medal and a prize kindly donated by our sponsors.

ALL TIMINGS ARE APPROXIMATE, Competitors are responsible for making sure they have registered and are available to the stewards at all times.
PLEASE NOTE. There is building remedial work in the school, some parts will be closed to public access. Please do not under any circumstances enter any part of the building where work is being under taken.
Kingdom Thistle will not be responsible for any person failing to adhere to advice on the building works

We are pleased to announce that we are now making and supplying hand made kilts. All of our Tartans and Fabrics are woven in Scottish and U.K mills.
Our Kilts are made in the traditional way in Scotland by our kilt maker. A wide range of tartans available from various tartan mills. Kilts can be made in either Heavy or Medium Weight ensuring a proper fitting garment. All sizes catered for.

Please contact us if you need assistance with drum corps set up, instrument maintenance, score writing and tuning. Our score writing service is primarily for Novice, Grade 4 and Grade 3
